This is an app that allows user to purchase a concert
ticket without having to go to the concert venue or
ticketing vendors.
January 2022 – March 2022
Getting a concert ticket sometimes can be problematic, especially when a user is a very busy individual but loves jazz concerts. The pain of going to the concert venue to purchase a ticket sometimes might result to meeting no ticket as it is sold out.
The goal is to make it easy for a user to purchase a concert ticket on time at his/her own comfort, select seat choice and have a direction map to the venue.
My role in this project is the lead designer.
My responsibilities are designing the wireframe
both paper and digital, prototype and mockups, also I contributed to the user interactions.
A lot of busy professionals crave to attend concerts but always don’t know how to get the tickets for a concert they love to attend. Both qualitative and quantitative research was made and the discovery was that if they can find a means of purchasing a ticket and get a reminder for an event, they can properly put it in their schedule to attend the concert. The ticketing app will help them purchase ticket, send them notification as the concert approaches so they get prepared for it.
Is always difficult to remember an upcoming events when a user has a lot in his/her schedule
to attend to.
Pressure from user’s jobs sometimes makes them forget about recreations in their life activities.
Most times people meet sold out tickets for concert and ended up not attending.
Many company executives always miss events because of time to purchase tickets and mostly forgets about it because of a constant scheduling meetings.
Problem statement:
Earl is an office assistant/piano student
who needs to watch his favourite jazz band perform often because he wants to someday become a jazz musician.
The user journey map that demonstrates how a user
journeys along with the app interactions in attending a concert.
The paper wireframes that demonstrates the inception of the design sketches.
The first digital part of the design process to test the usability.
The Lo-Fi prototype demonstrates theconnections between pages and it helps in the first iteration of the interaction process.
An unmoderated usability study was conducted and the findings are;
1. The app is pretty straight forward
The selecting seat row should be
indicated properly.
2. Payment gateway should be added to
input card details.
3. Payment gateway should be added to
input card details.
1. Selected band column should be in
user’s profile page.
2. Every user should have a barcode or
an indication for payment approval.
3. A notification reminder should be
included to remind busy professional
on their chosen concert time and date.
Getting the selected band column into the user
profile helps user to keep track of the bands to
attend it’s concert.
The reminder notification button helps user to
suggest time to be reminded for a planned
upcoming event.
The map will help users locate the venue, so it was
made to automatically show the concert location,
route from user’s present
location.
This design will help busy individuals get easy access to concert tickets, seat rows, date and time reminder to their event. As it is said, “All work at no play makes Jack a dull boy”.
In this project, I learned that no matter how busy one can be, there is always that little space to have fun. One can actually have his/her schedules at the fingertip.
